Privacy of Student Records

You are accessing student educational records that contain confidential information. Sharing this information with anyone other than the student is regulated by the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Student’s public directory information may be shared unless the student requests non-disclosure. Directory information includes acknowledgement as an attending student, name, address, dates of attendance, full-time or part-time status, class year, majors, awards, degrees, birthdate and prior schools attended.

Student’s confidential education information may not be shared in writing, in person, or over the telephone to third parties including parents (unless the student is a dependent) without the permission of the student. This information includes performance in class, grades, attitude, motivation, abilities, and background.
